So I said I was going to write about my time in Ithaca, and I didn't do it. Well, now I'm doing it, so let's get started. So the bus ride to Ithaca was awesome, and I got some amazing pictures of the scenery. I even saw what I think were Bald Eagles at points. I'll post those pictures later though. I loved the birds there. I think Ithaca got me even more into birds because know I've decided that for my future I'm gonna live in the Ithaca Ecovillage and work at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. In fact, the first time I went there, the first bird I saw was a Bald Eagle! That was really exciting. At one point, when I was chatting with someone about birds, we both saw two Great Blue Herons flying right over our heads! And at another point, I got lucky and saw something very exciting at the pond. A Pied Kingfisher! Those are all the way from Africa! I'm so glad I didn't have to travel there to see that. One morning I went birdwathcing with the person we were staying with and we saw a Northern Mockingbird and a Great Blue Heron! I'm definitely going to make a list of the birds I saw at the Ithaca Ecovillage. It's a great place and I really do recommend going there. And now for an Ithaca picture collection.
