My Ideas for a stop-motion animation about Prehistoric Life
My ideas for this show are that I’ll study the movement of some creatures, study their weapons for survival, and most of all, study their lives. This show will be based on the great shows known as, Walking with Monsters, Walking with Dinosaurs, Chased by Dinosaurs, Sea Monsters, Walking with Prehistoric Beasts, and all the other walking with shows. It will also be based on shows like Dinosaur Revolution, Jurassic Fight Club, and Planet Dinosaur.
T-rex must have been a slow, heavy creature that couldn’t really run that well or chase down its prey, which meant it was probably an ambush hunter. T-rex also had a massive head full of banana-sized teeth that could crush bone, and would have been very useful for killing dinosaurs like Edmontosaurus, Parasaurolophus and Triceratops. Tyrannosaurus Rex was truly the king of the dinosaurs, and it might have had feathers. Well, not real feathers anyway, just fuzz that blended in with the skin, called protofeathers.
The giant synapsid Dimetrodon must have been a very dangerous creature. It had mammal-like teeth that were made for eating meat, and we humans have evolved a smaller version of these kinds of teeth. The main prey for Dimetrodon was one of the world’s first giant herbivorous reptiles, called Edaphosaurus. One amazing thing about Dimetrodon was that it evolved into one of the most feared and biggest predators on earth until the dinosaurs. That predator was the giant synapsid, Gorgonopsid. Gorgonopsids main prey was a giant reptile called Scutosaurus. Scutosaurus usually traveled in herds to find food. By the time Gorgonopsid and Scutosaurus appeared, the world’s continents had come together to create one harsh place called Pangaea. Pangaea was nothing but a big desert with very little water or food. One prey that would’ve been easy to catch for Gorgonopsid was a little reptile called Diictodon. Diictodon had little holes for themselves, so Gorgonopsid couldn’t really catch them easily.
Diictodon also evolved into a not to big but big reptile called Lystrosaurus. Lystrosaurus lasted until the Middle Triassic with a little reptile that would bring the age of the dinosaurs, called Euparkeria. Euparkeria barley resembles a dinosaur, but in fact was one of the dinosaurs closest ancestors. Euparkeria might have also walked upright at certain points, which might have been the reason why theropod dinosaurs could walk upright. So even though Euparkeria does not resemble a dinosaur, it was the one to bring forth the great age of the Dinosaurs.

New York Times Report "How the US Lost Out on iPhone Work" Part 2
Here is the second part of the NY Times Report. Hope you enjoy!
Josh
Apple employs 43,000 people in the United States and 20,000 overseas, a small fraction of the over 400,000 American workers at General Motors in the 1950s, or the hundreds of thousands at General Electric in the 1980s. Many more people work for Apple’s contractors: an additional 700,000 people engineer, build and assemble iPads, iPhones and Apple’s other products. But almost none of them work in the United States. Instead, they work for foreign companies in Asia, Europe and elsewhere, at factories that almost all electronics designers rely upon to build their wares.
This means that most of the people who make the iPhones and iPads don't even work for Apple. They are contractors. The number of employees who are not contractors are a small fraction of the many workers employed at General Motors in the 1950's.
“Apple’s an example of why it’s so hard to create middle-class jobs in the U.S. now,” said Jared Bernstein, who until last year was an economic adviser to the White House.
“If it’s the pinnacle of capitalism, we should be worried.”
Apple executives say that going overseas, at this point, is their only option. One former executive described how the company relied upon a Chinese factory to revamp to revise or reconstruct iPhone manufacturing the operation of making wares or any products by hand, by machinery just weeks before the device was due on shelves. Apple had redesigned the iPhone’s screen at the last minute, forcing an assembly line overhaul examine or go over carefully for needed repairs. New screens began arriving at the plant near midnight.
Apple has said that overseas factories are their only option at this point in time. One thing that impressed Apple is that a Chinese factory reconstructed the iPhone just weeks before it was due in stores. Apple had decided that they wanted something different, and Apple changed the screen of the iPhone at the last minute. The Chinese factory then examined the iPhone for needed repairs. The new screens began arriving near midnight.
A foreman immediately roused 8,000 workers inside the company’s dormitories, according to the executive. Each employee was given a biscuit and a cup of tea, guided to a workstation and within half an hour started a 12-hour shift fitting glass screens into beveled frames. Within 96 hours, the plant was producing over 10,000 iPhones a day.

Stay tuned for part 3!

New York Times Report "How the U.S. Lost Out on iPhone Work"
How the U.S. Lost Out on iPhone Work
By CHARLES DUHIGG and KEITH BRADSHER
When Barack Obama joined Silicon Valley’s top luminaries a person who is an inspiration to others for dinner in California last February, each guest was asked to come with a question for the president.
But as Steven P. Jobs of Apple spoke, President Obama interrupted with an inquiry of his own: what would it take to make iPhones in the United States?
Not long ago, Apple boasted that its products were made in America. Today, few are. Almost all of the 70 million iPhones, 30 million iPads and 59 million other products Apple sold last year were manufactured overseas.
Why can’t that work come home? Mr. Obama asked.
Mr. Jobs’s reply was unambiguous having or exhibiting no ambiguity or uncertainty . “Those jobs aren’t coming back,” he said, according to another dinner guest.
The president’s question touched upon a central conviction at Apple. It isn’t just that workers are cheaper abroad. Rather, Apple’s executives believe the vast scale of overseas factories as well as the flexibility, diligence and industrial skills of foreign workers have so outpaced their American counterparts that “Made in the U.S.A.” is no longer a viable capable of working successfully option for most Apple products.
This means that Apple no longer makes their products in America. That is because Foreign workers are better at making things than American workers. Foreign factories make things faster than American factories. American people can no longer work on Apple products due to the better working skills of foreign workers.
Apple has become one of the best-known, most admired and most imitated companies on earth, in part through an unrelenting refusing to yield or relent; inflexible mastery of global operations. Last year, it earned over $400,000 in profit per employee, more than Goldman Sachs, Exxon Mobil or Google.
Many companies are trying to be as great as Apple, like Google and Amtrak. But, Amtrak is trying to be great in a different way. Amtrak is trying to provide a reliable service. Apple refuses to stop being successful. Last year, each person who worked for Apple earned $400,000 for Apple.
However, what has vexed annoyed, frustrated, or worried Mr. Obama as well as economists and policy makers is that Apple — and many of its high-technology peers — are not nearly as avid keen; enthusiastic in creating American jobs as other famous companies were in their heydays.
A little Jon Stewart\Stephen Colbert humor comes to mind here. Apple: Who cares if people are losing their jobs and losing their homes as well and can't feed their children and have to live on the streets in a cardboard box with nothing to do and eventually they'll get a disease and die? The important thing is, we earn 400,000 dollars and the employees get only 1 little dollar! We care more about the foreign countries that are working for us like slaves more than the Americans who are losing their jobs!
Meanwhile in the Whitehouse...
Obama:*facepalm*
However, what has worried President Barack Obama as well as economists and policy makers and people who actually care about the fate of America is that Apple is not as enthusiastic about giving the citizens of America jobs. I mean, the founder of Apple's last name WAS Steve JOBS, wasn't it? Shouldn't he have been giving American people jobs?
Thanks for reading! Look out for the next page!

My new class
When we were walking to Dunkin Donuts, some guy just walked up to me and started talking to me and I ran. I mean, I didn't even know the guy and he just started talking to me. The guy made me feel uncomfortable. He seemed weird.
At Dunkin Donuts, I ate a chocolate donut and wasted money on some Hot Cocoa that I wouldn't drink because it was too hot. So, I threw it away. Mom was concerned that I'd wasted money. Then we went to the class. Because some other people were new there, we played a game where each of us said our name and acted out what we like to do.
More Reports
Next, Stephen Colbert comes on the show and talks about a super pack with which he cannot coordinate, because if you coordinate with it, you go to jail. A super pack is something organized to elect political candidates or to advance the outcome of a political issue or legislation. Then Jon Stewart talks with Liam Neeson about his new movie "The Grey".
Then on The Colbert Report, Stephen talks about how super pack ads are ruining the GOP. After that, Stephen talks about Christian Mingle, which is an online Christian dating site, and how God should not get involved with it.
Finally Stephen interviews Jennifer Granholm.

Jon Stewart last night
Finally, he interviewed Andrew Napolitano who is a judge.

Another Jon Stewart Post
After that, he talked about Mitt Romney disenvowing and defending content of some super pack ads. Then he made a joke about what Mitt Romney's father told him and that was to never get involved in politics if you have to win the election to pay a mortgage. And then he made a joke about how Romney was happy that Tedd Kennedy had to take a mortgage out of his house to ultimately defeat him.
Next, he said that Mitt Romney does not belong in the Republican party. Then he said Gingrich was using money to buy influence. Then he said the Republicans can't just release the kraken and then when it turns on you just say he meant a pocket kraken or something.
Finally he interviewed George Lucas, who people on facebook are making fun of.

Fracking is wrong
Fracking is a 60-year old procedure in which you have to drill through rocks to find shale. Once the drill finds the shale, it is removed. Steel casing is then placed the entire length of the well and cement is put into the casing. The point is that this process could poison our water supply and heat up the globe. You can watch a fracking animation here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DN3fFgoqwH4&feature=related and here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB3FOJjpy7s&feature=related
Even if natural gas released "only" half the greenhouse gases from coal, or if fracking turns out not to be as toxic as feared, natural gas still wouldn't be a good thing to do because it could probably still cause global warming and still wouldn't be be 100% safe, and we must use energy that is safest for the environment.
This debate has been going back and forth between Democrats and Republicans. That's why I'm an Independent. I'm part of the debate but Independents might have better solutions. Thank you for caring enough about the environment to read this! I hope you learned something!

More stuff, yay
My brother is going to a Wii Club in Dobbs Ferry this Saturday. I once went to Mario Game Club when I was in an art class. I really enjoyed it there and didn't want to leave. Then I realized it was getting dark so Dad and I left.
I am planning what my N scale layout will look like. It will have a lot of detail and scenery, 4 or 6 tracks with 2 passenger trains and 2 freight trains or 3 passenger trains and 3 freight trains. There will also be a little bit of commuters and subways in a city. It will be so big it will look like a club layout. It will be my own custom railroad and not any of the existing railroads.
That's pretty much all I have to say. Talk to you guys next time!

Stuff
I think MTA should make a NYC Subway line that goes between Grand Central Terminal and New York Penn Station. I like what MTA is doing with transportation currently. I think MTA has come a long way since they ran the LIRR(Long Island Railroad). Also, The new Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses are being tested by the MTA for the next 30 days in order to see how well they perform in NYC. If all goes well, the MTA may place orders for these accordion-style Citaro buses to replace the fleet of New Flyer buses currently in use.
I also have a new YouTube account(and I know the new youtube homepage and channel background suck) called lbpFTW1. I posted 3 animations on that channel that I did on Flash CS5 Professional. They are good animations. They are animations that I just felt like doing. The first animation is a stick figure getting chased by a dinosaur. The second animation is an animation of the internet meme, Shoop Da Whoop. The third is just Sonic the Hedgehog running.
I'm planning trips to New Haven, CT, some places in Illnois, and some places in California. I also want to see what Seattle's like. So basiclly, I'm planning trips to New Haven, Chicago, California, and Seattle, Washington.
That's all I have to say.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
