Another Jon Stewart Post

Yesterday, Jon Stewart reported the 15th Republican debate. First, he made a joke about a silly question that yet reveals the saddening truth about being the president, that when someone asks you a question you can't think of anything to say but a lie. Jon said pretty much every candidate there would watch Real House Wives except for Ron Paul. He'd be reading an economic text book. In fact, he said the Saturday debate was so lame, there was only one thing people wanted to talk about and that was that nobody went after Mitt Romney. Then, when Newt Gingrich said Pious Bologna, Jon made a joke that his bologna's first name being Pious.

After that, he talked about Mitt Romney disenvowing and defending content of some super pack ads. Then he made a joke about what Mitt Romney's father told him and that was to never get involved in politics if you have to win the election to pay a mortgage. And then he made a joke about how Romney was happy that Tedd Kennedy had to take a mortgage out of his house to ultimately defeat him.

Next, he said that Mitt Romney does not belong in the Republican party. Then he said Gingrich was using money to buy influence. Then he said the Republicans can't just release the kraken and then when it turns on you just say he meant a pocket kraken or something.

Finally he interviewed George Lucas, who people on facebook are making fun of.

Fracking is wrong

Hello everyone! Today, I will be reporting on my dad's blog post about fracking, something that involves digging underground for oil. Some people are claiming that natural gas or oil is a fuel of the future, and a way to bridge a gap between the dirty and clean energy economy. Dirty energy is made from uranium, coal, oil, and gas, while clean energy is made from wind, sun, and water energy. But natural gas might be pointless. Fracking might be worse than coal for global warming. Some people believe that dirty energy sources are causing global warming which is causing the world to heat up faster then it normally would. That is probably why there was no snow on Christmas last year. Fracking could also be very expensive.

Fracking is a 60-year old procedure in which you have to drill through rocks to find shale. Once the drill finds the shale, it is removed. Steel casing is then placed the entire length of the well and cement is put into the casing. The point is that this process could poison our water supply and heat up the globe. Even if natural gas released "only" half the greenhouse gases from coal, or if fracking turns out not to be as toxic as feared, natural gas still wouldn't be a good thing to do because it could probably still cause global warming and still wouldn't be be 100% safe, and we must use energy that is safest for the environment.

This debate has been going back and forth between Democrats and Republicans. That's why I'm an Independent. I'm part of the debate but Independents might have better solutions. Thank you for caring enough about the environment to read this! I hope you learned something!

More stuff, yay

I actually have nothing to say, but mom made me type this anyway, so here I go. Today was an OK day. I sat down reading a book on my kindle for a little while, and then my mom and I had to go to some stores. I also saw an old fashioned blue car and a wrecked truck.


My brother is going to a Wii Club in Dobbs Ferry this Saturday. I once went to Mario Game Club when I was in an art class. I really enjoyed it there and didn't want to leave. Then I realized it was getting dark so Dad and I left.


I am planning what my N scale layout will look like. It will have a lot of detail and scenery, 4 or 6 tracks with 2 passenger trains and 2 freight trains or 3 passenger trains and 3 freight trains. There will also be a little bit of commuters and subways in a city. It will be so big it will look like a club layout. It will be my own custom railroad and not any of the existing railroads.

I suddenly feel like moving to Dobbs Ferry. I just like that place because its on Metro North's Hudson Line and its calm. The Metro North's on the Hudson go from Grand Central to Croton Harmon or Poughkeepsie. I have taken an M7 Metro North from Grand Central to Dobbs Ferry, and I saw Kawasaki's(the train company who made the NYC Subway not the motorcycle) factory. I also like the view of the Hudson River. I like how a winding road leads to a view of mountains at the back of the Hudson River. It's a cool view really.

I think MTA should make a NYC Subway line that goes between Grand Central Terminal and New York Penn Station. I like what MTA is doing with transportation currently. I think MTA has come a long way since they ran the LIRR(Long Island Railroad). Also, The new Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses are being tested by the MTA for the next 30 days in order to see how well they perform in NYC. If all goes well, the MTA may place orders for these accordion-style Citaro buses to replace the fleet of New Flyer buses currently in use.

I also have a new YouTube account(and I know the new youtube homepage and channel background suck) called lbpFTW1. I posted 3 animations on that channel that I did on Flash CS5 Professional. They are good animations. They are animations that I just felt like doing. The first animation is a stick figure getting chased by a dinosaur. The second animation is an animation of the internet meme, Shoop Da Whoop. The third is just Sonic the Hedgehog running.

I'm planning trips to New Haven, CT, some places in Illnois, and some places in California. I also want to see what Seattle's like. So basiclly, I'm planning trips to New Haven, Chicago, California, and Seattle, Washington.

Stuff I did yesterday and today

Yesterday, I went to my science class. The science class I took actually was not the last science class. I feel like it would make more sense if it was because it's almost Christmas. Anyway, today, my mom and I went to my last Greek history class, and next year we will be studying Rome. Then Leo, Avalon, Lia, Liam and I had our last writing class until next year. It was fun writing books with Leo. It's also sad when a year comes to an end, but happy when a new year begins. In this case, 2011 is coming to an end, but 2012 (which by the way will not be the end of the world)is getting closer.

This is going to be what I'll be doing every day. I'll come home and share my day with you readers and I'll be choosing an Idiot of the Day to close my post, similar to Jon Stewart's "Moment of Zen".

So anyway, yesterday's Idiot of the Day was a guy or two guys in a van who almost hit us when backing up on the road on West End Avenue. Today's Idiot of the Day was a guy(who by the way was probably drunk or retarded) who on a horrible bus ride back home from the writing class I mentioned earlier kept scaring the passengers by acting like a very stupid person and speaking in a slow gibberish language.

Then some guy talks with some people about how science is fake.


Then Jon talks about the protestors throughout our nation and how the one in Oakland is the worst. After that he intreviews Lisa Randall.

Then Steven Colbert talks about how PETA can speak for themselves because now they're speaking for the whales, and how orca's should be slaves. Then he talks about how Seaworld should live the way God intended a water amusment park to live.

Then he talks about B.L.T and how farmers have fled Alabama. Then he talks about the war on Halloween. And how halloween is fun.

Then he interviews Taylor branch.
